This Pediocactus simpsonii var minor seedling grew on its own outdoors next to an adult plant. They often germinate this way and these outdoor seedlings always are much healthier than the ones I've tried to grow under lights. I'm giving up on growing this species under lights this year and working on starting all of them outdoors in real sun light.
