The native habitat for Faucaria species is in South Africa, and they are often found under the name, "Tiger Jaws" as greenhouse succulents. These plants are very easy to find for sale and are variable in appearance. They thrive on the most sun they can have in a four season climate, and even though they will live in low light they are much more able to flower if they are given a full sun location. Their most common flower color is yellow and some varieties will have a pink flower. They will appreciate plenty of water in the spring and fall seasons when they are in growth cycles, but it is good to keep them dry in the mid summer and cold winter months.
